Please help us keep our island clean. Participate as a volunteer on our "Keep Fanoe Clean" arrangement, that takes place the last Sunday in April.
The awarenes of improving the enviroment is growing. The amount of garbage washed ashore from the sea is decreasing drastically compared to 25 years ago. But still the winter storms washes some garbage onto the beach of Fanoe - especially plastic.
So there is still a need for a regular cleaning of the beach and the dunes. This is normally done by the municipality, but once a year in spring we all get together to help clean the beach area.
All who wants to participate meet on the he beach in Rindby. Participants are divided in to groups and each group is responsible for cleaning a section of the beach. Several tons are collected every year.
The day ends with lunch and entertainment at the meeting point in Rindby.
