The Sonderho Day

Each year, the third sunday in July we celebrate the Sønderho Day. 
In 2012, however, it will be on July 22nd.

The Sønderho Day has been celebrated the same way each year since 1928.

There is a bride’s parade from Børsen (Sønderho Havn) to Møllebanken (the old windmill), at which the women present the old Fanø dresses.

In front of the windmill there is traditional Sønderho Dance.

Afterwards a speech is held.

Sønderho musicians play at different places in the village and people dance. In the evening there is Fanø Dance at the assembly hall.
