Fanoe Summer Concerts is a unique opportunity to experience classical music of high international standard in a beautiful setting.
Every Tuesday in July/August concerts are held in the Church in Nordby.
Well known Danish Artists like
Michala Petri
Amalie Malling
Sine Bundgaard and
Kim Sjøgren
mixed with big international artists like
Emerson String Quartet,
Borodin Quartet,
Natalie Clein and
Sergei Azizian
are examples of artists, who have been on the programme since 2004. Our local Esbjerg Ensemble is on the bill every year.
The artists have been all been excited about to perform in the Church in Nordby. They experience an intimate atmosphere. The beauty of the island, the fantastic acoustics of the church and the excitement of the people attending the conceerts is something special.
The Danish National Radio has been here several times and transmitted some of the concerts on the classical music channel (DR2).

The classical music is alive and well in the Wadden Sea regionThe main reason for us being able to present Fanø Summer Concerts is the fact that Esbjerg is one the key classical music communities in Denmark.
The Esbjerg Academy of Music has 110 students covering a wide spectre of genres. The Academy has been an innovator in many aspects and key factor in creating an exciting musical community.
Esbjerg Ensemble The ensemble was founded in 1967 og has since played a major role in promoting the classical music in the entire region. The ensemble consists of 12 musicians from all over the world.
